Fordham Prep’s Niall Ryan and Notre Dame of Manhattan’s Brigid McCabe were the first boy and girl, respectively, to cross the finish line at the CHSAA Intersectional Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
Ryan, a senior, completed the 2.5-mile course in 12 minutes, 49.3 seconds. Xavier won the boys team title with 54 points, followed by Msgr. Farrell with 79 points.
McCabe, a junior, clocked a time of 15:17.9. Notre Dame Academy of Staten Island captured the girls team title with 46 points, and Sacred Heart Academy placed second with 55 points.
