St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School graduate Ricky DeVito was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Braves, the short-season rookie league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves in the Gulf Coast League.
The Braves opened their 2019 season today at home against the Gulf Coast League Orioles.
DeVito was the eighth-round pick of the Atlanta Braves out of Seton Hall University.
