Notre Dame School captured the Varsity Softball Tier 3 championship with a 9-2 victory over Cathedral.
In Varsity Tier 1, Moore Catholic defeated St. Joseph by-the-Sea in a battle of Staten Island schools for the archdiocese championship before losing to Archbishop Molloy for the city title and eventual state champion St. Anthony’s from the Diocese of Rockville Centre in the state semifinals.
In Varsity Tier 4, St. Barnabas beat Mount St. Ursula, 12-4, in a championship game between two schools from the Bronx.
St. Catharine Academy, the Bronx, tipped Msgr. Scanlan, the Bronx, 16-15, for the Varsity Tier 2 crown.
