After just completing a mission trip to Lucena City, Philippines, in late September, the Baseball Miracles staff is back to work as it prepares for trips to the Dominican Republic in November and Puerto Rico in December.
This was the second trip to the Philippines in 2018 for Baseball Miracles, which visited Dinalupihan, Bataan, in February.
Baseball Miracles’ mission is to teach the game of baseball to boys and girls with economic and environmental disadvantages throughout the world. In recent years, Baseball Miracles has offered baseball clinics in Argentina, Honduras, Kenya, South Africa and Canada as well as New Orleans and Beattyville, Kentucky.
Baseball Miracles was founded by John Tumminia, a parishioner of St. Mary’s in Marlboro and a longtime scout of the Chicago White Sox.
