Marist College graduate Jason Myers booted two field goals and six extra points for the Jets in their 48-17 win over the Detroit Lions on Monday.
Myers, 27, was signed during preseason and won the starting job. He played with Jacksonville the last three seasons.
CYO Staten Island is offering basketball and bowling during the fall.
Bowling begins Sept. 24 and is open for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Biddy basketball, children in kindergarten through second grade, will have a tournament in October to fight breast cancer. A preseason scrimmage slam for boys and girls in grades three through eight starts Oct.5.

The defending Catholic High School Football League of Metropolitan New York league champions — Archbishop Stepinac, Kellenberg and Cardinal Spellman — were all winners in week one.
Stepinac, the defending state champion, travels to New Rochelle to meet rival Iona Prep on Saturday to highlight week two action.

Steven Santini and the New Jersey Devils report to camp Sept. 11 and begin preseason workouts the next day.
Santini, a graduate of John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, signed a three-year, $4.25 million contract with the Devils in August. He will earn $1.1 million in the 2018-2019 season.
A second-round pick of the Devils in 2016, Santini split time with the Devils and their American Hockey League affiliate in Binghamton last season. He finished with two goals and eight assists with the Devils, who were 21-8-7 in games with Santini in the lineup.
The Devils will play their first two preseason games on Sept. 17 when they host the New York Rangers and travel to Montreal to play the Canadiens.
