The Msgr. Scanlan High School girls basketball team continues its march toward a third consecutive Archdiocesan Tournament championship when it meets St. John Villa Academy at the the College of Staten Island on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
If Scanlan wins, it will host the championship game on Friday night.
Scanlan defeated Notre Dame Academy, 84-42, in a quarterfinal behind sophomore Kateri Poole’s 18 points and six assists, and freshman Imani Harris’ 16 points and three assists. Junior Daja Wentz contributed 14 points, five assists and five rebounds, and sophomore Kayla Morris and junior Kaylen Banwareesingh each added nine points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Allison Roman had eight points.
